Description
The Disabled Persons Assembly and Te Pou o te Whakaaro Nui have developed this programme which examines human rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Disability Convention) in the unique cultural context of Aotearoa.
The FREE two day workshop, led by disabled people, provides a framework that will help you:
- build your knowledge of human rights concepts
- strengthen your understanding of the Disability Convention
- review your current practice and ensure you can apply the Disability Convention on a day to day basis
- create a network of human rights defenders.
You will receive a programme manual which is only available to people who attend the workshop.
Attendance at BOTH days is required.
