Description
This course is provided through the WISE Online Academy. The course includes 4-5 instructor-led 2-hour webinars and offline skill building activities presented over a 2-3 week period. The course includes a total of 12 hours of training. Students leave with materials and a certificate of completion the course. To successfully complete the course students will need to 1) Attend all webinars and 2) complete all offline skill-building activities.

Content Overview
Systematic Instruction Learning Objectives
- Gain an overview of instruction and self-determination as these topics relate to the history of supported employment.
- Obtain a general understanding of job design.
- Learn to conduct a task analysis.
- Consider how individual learning styles and teaching methods can be applied in various situations.
- Obtain a general understanding of systematic instruction.
- Gain tools to help an individual prepare for their first day on a new job
- Develop the ability to identify and implement natural supports at a worksite.
- Identify key elements in providing long term supports to help individuals maintain employment.
- Consider how employment agencies can provide strong training, job start and retention services.

Course fees are $250 + GST per course. You can register for both or just one.
For MSD-funded providers: These courses are eligible for fees reimbursement through the MSD training fund
