Disability rights – online education programme
Kia Noho Rangatira Ai Tātou is a unique education programme that was developed by Te Pou and the Disabled Persons Assembly. The programme puts human rights for disabled people and the Disability Convention into a New Zealand cultural context.
This 10-hour online workshop series will be held over four 2.5 hour modules.
When: 9.30am – 12.00pm on:

Cost: free for Disability Support Services who hold a contract with Whaikaha or offered on a cost recovery basis.

The aim of the online workshop is to increase participants understanding of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and human rights, and to apply this understanding to practical situations. It is applicable to participants personal and professional lives.

Section 4 Disability, the social model and Human Rights framework
Section 5 The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
